PFA Now Accepting Applications for Two Volunteer Opportunities

Want to get involved and contribute to the University of Maryland? Serving on a Council is a great way to start!
The Office of Parent and Family Affairs has two opportunities: one is specifically for the parents and family members of our first-year students (freshman) and the other is open to those who have an undergraduate of any year (first-year – senior). More details are below.
Parent/Family Advisory Council
Applications are currently available to serve on the Parent/Family Advisory Council (PAC). We are currently seeking eight families to represent the Class of 2025 (first-year students). To learn more about the PAC and to access the online application, visit go.umd.edu/pac21.
Intercultural Advisory Council
We are also accepting applications for the newly created Maryland Parent & Family Intercultural Advisory Council (IAC). We welcome applications from parents and family members of undergraduate students of any year (first-year, sophomore, junior, and senior). To learn more about the IAC and to access the online application, visit go.umd.edu/iac21.
Applications for both councils are due at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12. Please contact the Office of Parent and Family Affairs at terpfamily@umd.edu with any questions.
Those interested in a greater philanthropic opportunity are encouraged to consider the Parents Philanthropy Board. Visit the Parent and Family Philanthropy website for more information.
